Cisco to Make New Investments in Japan To Promote IoE Innovation

Cisco announced today that investment, Cisco venture capital arm has Japan as one of its investment objectives for Internet All (OIE) selected ups and startups. As part of the Cisco 100 million Global Fund IO, Smart-FOA Co.Ltd.It is the first company in Japan to obtain financing on the basis of this initiative.


Accelerating globalization and market cycle changes and ideas and speed are important,and so on the key components for the competitiveness of companies in the manufacturing workplace. In order to integrate ideas and speed in the workplace manufacturing,innovation is necessary to unify the power of the work with the management of data flow and promote.FOA (Flow Oriented Approach) provides an innovative platform, the exchange of useful information for troubleshooting and real-time decisions through the creation of pieces of data, the raw data collected by sensors that combine to produce workplace to workplace skills and let it flow in the network.

The software allows the valuable information that you can access from anywhere, creating the next generation in the workplace, the concept of Fog Computing, corresponds to the distributed processes in the network perimeter. Together, Cisco Smart FOA and plan to extend this program from Japanese manufacturing jobs similar production environments worldwide through the joint development of solutions for the manufacturing industry based on Cisco IOx.
